Wildcards

Each county gets a wildcard for both the ladies and men providing they enter a team for the respective event. Below are the current wildcard selections for Southern Region Counties:

Regional Wildcard: R Pugh Roberts (Berks) (Top Ranked B)

Berkshire: Doug Lafferty, Claire Seymour
Bristol: Scott Henley, Jenny Bear
Hampshire: Rob Hall, Jo Shaw
Oxfordshire: Ben Scott, Carrie Francombe
West Berkshire: Paul Broome, Linda Ball
Wiltshire: Steve Hayden, Nicola Yates

COUNTY MANAGERS: Can you let me know your wildcard choices by either text or use the contact form on this site. If you would like to be considered for a wildcard please contact YOUR county manager.

England Trial Qualification

Qualification for an England trial can only happen by one of two ways:

  • Finish in the top 10 of your region's player rankings (A & Ladies only).
  • Be given a wildcard.

However:

  • All youth players automatically qualify for youth trials
  • All over 40's that play county qualify for an England seniors trial.

The top 10 rankings are done minus current England Internationals. If someone inside that top 10 cannot make the trials then the place is NOT offered to the player ranked 11th.

Each county can award one mens and one ladies wildcard.
